Mike’s Song > Shade > Weekapaug Groove. That is an opening worth writing out in full. For anyone following Mike’s Groove sequences across their show history, Shade is the detail to keep.

A different middle for Mike’s Groove

Shade takes the middle slot in the opening trio. Later in the first set, AC/DC Bag leads into Wolfman’s Brother, where Phish.net records Trey’s first mini-kit appearance of the night. My Friend, My Friend closes the set with a change to its usual ending.

This is the good stuff for fans who follow multiple nights: the combinations keep changing. The show notes give us more to follow, too.

Which details belong beside the songs?

Phish.net documents Trey on the mini drum kit during Wolfman’s Brother and Blaze On, an unfinished Down with Disease, and the omitted “Myfe” ending in My Friend, My Friend. The numbered notes below keep those details beside the ordered songs. Read the source notes.

Two setlists, one shared song

Costello’s recap looks back to a remembered Monday show in New Haven in 1992, with his caveat that the exact night is uncertain. Comparing the two published song lists gives one shared title: Run Like an Antelope. It closes the first set in New Haven and the encore in Huntsville. Open the New Haven show and follow its source for the performance details.

A comparison like this gives your own show history a useful next question: which songs have stayed with you across different years?
